happy birthday

today is TheMom's birthday. she is vacationing in boston, while TheSister is "away" for the weekend. i had TheNephew tonight. did his homework, made him dinner, put him to bed. he says he's afraid of the dark now. apparently one of his babysitters told him the boogieman comes to get kids who don't go to sleep. brilliant plan there einstein. every since we've had a problem. i put on two nightlights and left my door open and my light on and he went to bed after some crying and rationalization. he likes to say he wishes either he or i never existed when he doesn't get his own way. TheMom and TheSister spoil him too much in that sense. i'll make him strong. hah.
