holy crap!!!

man... i haven't been around a running turbine in a long time and i forgot how loud those sunza-bitches get. whoooo-weeee! that being said, we first fired and i'm a happy, HAPPY boy. this is my first site lead assignment, if something goes wrong, everyone comes to me, something breaks, my fault. i was scared. i hid it well by only pissing my pants once and in a dark corner, but googly. it wasn't perfect, but damn near close. the turbine runs at 3000 rpm. we had a small fault that stopped the turbine reaching that. we did something called a fired shutdown (much better than a trip and we didn't have any of those yet *fingers crossed*). we made it to about 2700 rpm before the problem occurred. a weight has been lifted. granted, we're not out of the woods yet. this problem, since it is small, may be hard as hell to find. but i see it now, and i know it's no indian... there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. i'm going to celebrate... beer for everyone, on the customer.
