work pix (and not much more)

it is a slow day. we are starting from scratch with our vibrations issue. all the balancing we've done seems to have changed the moment of inertia (my best description of the problem) of the turbine. so now it is doing some crazy bending or whatever that it's not supposed to do. so, take everything off, and start anew.

that being said, here are some pix i've taken recently from site. not a very exciting post, but i hope you find the pictures... that's all, i just hope you find them.

my boss gave me this new swing and a guy to hold onto the anchor rope to make sure i don't go SPLAT!!!

this is a crane putting weights on a load test frame. what is a load test you ask? it's when you put a bunch of weight on a lifting frame (the yellow thing in the picture), lift it, and make sure the crane can hold it. TYPICALLY, this is done at the BEGINNING of a job (not 10 months after it was installed), and usually, the crane being tested isn't used to load the test frame. but not much IS typical here.

and these are indian fruit loops... orange and yellow. that is it, and not BRIGHT orange and yellow, more pastel. they've destroyed a childhood staple.

here we have toucan sam.

and this is the indian equivalent, toucan subramaniam.
