israel had to recall it's ambassador from el salvador. wanna know why? read about it here. there's just too many ways to go on this. for one, let people do what they want as long as they aren't hurting anyone (unless it's consensual, that is). people in higher up positions of stress tend to like S&M a bit more than the average joe as it gives them a place where they don't have to have to be in control and all the answers. if this were an perfect world, he could still effectively do his job, but there are too many people out there with idealistic views as to what a person with "x" job should do in their spare time. if these people knew what their nurses, lawyers, day care providers, etc. did in their spare time, they might be a bit concerned, but since they don't and things are going well with those people, they don't mind (did that make sense?) if someone is doing their job well, they should be allowed to do what they want in the off time (again, as long as it is consensual and not illegal). eh, but we aren't that lucky yet. not sure society will EVER be that forgiving.
