i love non-newtonian fluids

i made some of this stuff when i worked at the daycare as the science project of the week. it's fun when you find things in life that are counterintuitive. about halfway through the clip, they stop running in the middle of the pool and you see what happens.

enjoy the link as i can't figure out how to embed it.

That's just latin bravissimo trying to outdo Jearl Walker's (and his Kinetic Carnival) original stunt, where he jumped off a platform and actually bounced off a tub of cornstarch and water - like a mini trampoline. Awesome, especially when they do a slow motion repeat and you really get to see his awkward late 70's white man afro flailing around his face.

Dude. Any post with the words "non-newtonian fluids" is already kind of cool. But when it turns out to be cornstarch and water... that just rocks.
