fukking OCD
my mp3s are going to be the end of me. i have about 8000 or so, and i just got another 15000 or so from a dutch TA onsite. his hard drive was one of the worst organized things i'd ever seen. 60Gb of mp3s, 26 folders in the root (alphabetic sorting WTF!?), then inside those we album folders, band folders, stray songs. it was a mess. he said he had 60Gb of music (my eyes lit up), but it turns out he has about 45Gb due to LOTS of repeats (mariah carey in both the 'M' and 'C' folders). i took it all though to satiate my organizational OCD. it'll take weeks. that got me started on MY mp3s. i have a bunch with incorrect ID3 tags and that is necessary for smart playlisting. so for the past days i've been correcting ID3 tags. genre is tough. like what is tori amos? what is 'the magnetic fields'? what is moby compared to chemical brothers compared to paul oakenfold? it is killing me. i'm trying to break everything down into 6 or so basic genres. then later i'll refine those (rock will be broken into lite, classic, hard, etc). why do i do this to myself?
i'm going away from houses. apparently, the inner redneck in me inherently knows where the white trash collects around columbus. most of the houses i've been looking at are in said areas. blast. plus as much as i'd like a drafty house, i'm realistic in that i'm not home often, maintenance, grass cutting, etc., so i'm back into looking at condos. wish me luck.

now you are being smart - condo is much better for someone in your position (traveling). a large "drafty" monstrosity would eat you up in maintenance, utilities, taxes, etc. you would be pissing your hard earned money away. enjoy those mp3's you neurotic traveler. XXXOOO
It is nice to see you have come to your senses. But a condo even might be a little steep. For as much as you are gone maybe you should invest in a storage facility and other than that have a base mailing address. You travel way too much to want to put money into a place you will hardly ever be at even if it is a condo...(that is unless it is in a nice beach front state with nice weather and you want you little sister to house sit whe you go away.)
