YEA!!! i finally have it. the eudora new mail sound that comforted me so in college. the lovely sound that let me know that someone wanted to convey some sort of message to me, be it a "hello", a "how are you", or a "do you have performance issues, then try..." messages. at CWRU, we were given eudora as the e-mail program, and i loved the new mail sound. i don't know why. i've tried to get it in the past, since i now use outlook, but found that it is somehow coded into the software rather than a .wav file that i can just copy. so i used good ol' gold wave to record it today and it sounds pretty good. i'm just so damn nerdily happy. someone send me an e-mail so i can hear it. if YOU want the original eudora new mail sound, you can get it here.
