progress? maybe
but not onsite. we are supposed to have gas tomorrow, but the rumors aren't looking good. we'll find out in the morning. we had crazy rain all day today. it was heavenly, i love the rain. fields were flooding, roads were kinda flooding, the sky was grey, it was awesome. i feel sorry for the folks back home going through this CRAZY heat wave. i'm quite a bit sure that it is hotter back home than it is here. strange.
by the way, i got my computer back, and it is working. i asked them how they fixed it, and they said "no understand", so i'll give credit to the computer gnomes. i can blog, and look at porn, and buy DVDs, and all that fun stuff i've missed over the past 2 weeks.
the progress i was talking about is, and don't hold your breath because i'm not, it looks like i'll be able to take some holiday time starting 12-august. the funny thing is, my manager OK'd it, and the personnel manger OK'd it. the personnel manager said, just handover with the lead mechanical guy onsite and then go. ummm, but I'M the lead mechanical guy. the customer decided they didn't want to pay for a mech 3 months ago. he didn't know this somehow (i'll give him some leeway, he is new to this position, but not THAT new). so it looks like they found someone to cover for me right here in india. YEA!!! but again, i'm not getting too excited until i know he's coming, and i know i'm going. i will be buying a ticket here in a few days though, so that rocks.
dammit, i got myself excited. gotta go.

Zac, what a relief! So glad to hear you may be returning to the states for a bit! You will have so much to cram in but then again I think you are used to that by now arent you!? Keep us updated!
Stay in touch about you're trip. We'd love to see you. We're in Cleveland Aug 18-20, but pretty busy. We could also drive over to Bellaire sometime too, or you're welcomed to our place in Maryland. Whatever works.
of course I couldn't be any happier. wish the general would get their shite together!!!!
